Amsterdam's Queen's Day is a yearly holiday that celebrates the Queen. Until 2013 it was on 30th April, but as from 2014 it is set on 27th April - actually this year is on 26th, as traditionally the celebrations are not held on Sundays. People will usually dress the national colours - mainly orange, but also red, white an blue, the flag colours. Festivities start the night before, and carry out through the day, many ending only the morning after.
These photos have been specially revisited and re-edited for the Chicken or Pasta blog, to illustrate an article written by Priscilla Dieb.
